Welcome

The current economic climate is driving more consolidation in various industries by way of M&A as well as businesses undertaking extensive cost saving activities.

In this issue of Perspective, Business Insight highlights the high areas of risk that organizations need to pay particular attention to during a program of IT consolidation, whether through M&A or through improvement programs.

The first featured Case Study shows how AppLabs worked with Turquoise to ensure they delivered their multi-lateral trading facility problem free in a reduced timescale without compromising on quality. The second Case Study is an example of how reviewing your testing processes can save money.

To further support this, AppLabs is announcing a strategic Service Update with the newly named "Testing Services for Business Optimization". The aim of the service is to help clients achieve real benefits from their testing, either through programs of change, or through governance and management of third party development.

As this is the last Perspective of 2008, I would like to thank you for your support throughout the year and wish you all the very best for the upcoming year.

We hope you enjoy this edition of Perspective
